(In)voluntary Separation

In March of 2004, in response to the news that my high-tech job was being outsourced to India, I created a photographic installation at the Design Center of Austin titled “(In)voluntary Separation, a thousand images of transformation.” This exhibit included literally 1,000 four by four inch images mounted on modular pegboard panels along a 90-foot swath of beautiful 100-year-old brick wall.

The images included in the show were a mix of film and digital fine art photographs, family snapshots, text, drawings and paintings. You can read the brief artist's statement from the exhibit here.
